TFA’s TEFLON® filter media exhibits outstanding performance for the energy, metals, chemical, and minerals industries. TFA filtration media provides low pressure drop, near zero emissions, and over 99% efficiency with great durability compared to other nonwoven high temperature filter media. TFA offers several types of filter media depending on temperature and environment. TEFLON® fiber can be blended with several other materials including glass, PPS and other fibers to meet individual requirements.

NONWOVEN
TFA offers felts that are 100% TEFLON® fiber or a blend of TEFLON® fiber and other fibers such as PPS and glass. Toray has extensive experience in fiber manufacturing, development, and filtration. Toray fibers are involved in practically every type of filtration application and TEFLON® fiber is offered for specialty high temperature filtration or environments that contain corrosive chemicals that need durable filter media. Baghouses with the most demanding environments are ideal for TEFLON® fiber filter bags. Costs can be offset by longer life and reduced energy from running lower pressure drop.
100% TEFLON
All TEFLON® fiber filter media is used in the most demanding filtration environments.
In applications where high temperature filtration reaches up to 260 °C and pH ranges from 1 - 14 from processes containing acids or bases, TEFLON® fiber filter bags can reduce costs by decreased replacements and longer life.
TEFAIRE HG
TEFAIRE HG is a patented blend of TEFLON® fiber and proprietary glass. TEFAIRE HG offers a cost effective alternative for applications requiring 260 °C in pH ranges from 2 -13. TEFAIRE HG still outperforms other filter media that is not 100% PTFE for temperature and corrosive environments. Long life, low pressure drop, and reduced initial costs make TEFAIRE HG a good fit for high temperature environments that are a little less corrosive.
TEFAIRE X
TEFAIRE X is a patent pending blend of TEFLON® fiber, proprietary glass, and TORAY Torcon® fiber. TEFAIRE X is a cost effective alternative used in temperatures up to 200 °C and the same chemical environment as TEFAIRE HG.

LIQUID FILTRATION
WOVEN
Woven TEFLON® fabrics can be used in liquid filtration where exposure to high temperature and corrosive chemicals is a problem. Fabrics woven from 100% TEFLON® or any combination of materials can be used. Several different woven configurations can be specified.
TEFLON® multifilament yarns provide fabrics with high cover and low air permeability to provide the best liquid filter media available for harsh conditions. Our multifilament fibers provide increased surface area and can be used in chemical column packing to aid with product collection in sulfuric acid production and the production of other difficult to handle chemicals.
