TFA is the only manufacturer of TEFLON® PTFE multifilament yarns commercially available for use in applications from aerospace and aviation, automotive, construction equipment and industrial bearings to filtration fabrics, sewing thread and protective apparel. TFA’s fibers have a long history of solving difficult problems were chemical resistance, temperature resistance or a low coefficient of friction is required. As a result, TFA fibers established a number of firsts for the fiber industry and we are committed to continued industry leadership.
- TFA TEFLON® PTFE yarns are available in a broad range of deniers from 100 denier to 9450 denier
- TFA TEFLON® brand flock fibers are made from DuPont Dispersion manufactured with Echelon® technology
- TFA manufactures all of our products with ISO 9001:2008 certification for our quality systems and ISO 14001:2004 certification for our environmental systems
- Fabrics made from TFA Multifilament fibers are thinner than fabrics made from ePTFE yarns
- Fabrics made from TFA Multifilament fibers can provide lower air permeability than fabrics made with ePTFE yarns
- Fabrics made from TFA Multifilament fibers tend to be tougher than fabrics made with ePTFE yarns as long as the cycle load does not exceed the tensile strength of our fibers
- TFA TEFLON® multifilament yarns are available in brown (natural color) and in white (bleached) form
TFA TEFLON® PTFE Fluoropolymer Fiber Multifilament Yarns are supplied on tubes in a variety of Denier, DPF and Types as shown in the table below. The natural color of TEFLON® PTFE fiber is dark brown. Bleached TEFLON® PTFE fiber, which is pure white, is also available and may be preferred for certain end uses.
